Grants waltzed into their contest on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Aztec Tigers 51-0. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Pirates just coasted through the last quarter.

Julian Fernandez produced another solid effort rushing for 90 yards and two scores on only seven carries. Joe Clawson was in the mix too, providing Grants with two TDs.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Grants proved: they limited Aztec to a paltry -0.2 yards per carry. The team can thank Tristin Fernandez for the heroic effort on defense: he. Grants' run defense has been on the up-and-up: they allowed five yards per carry earlier this season, but they've only allowed 10.17 on average over their last five games.

Special teams also played a big role in the game for Grants, adding 11 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Cardenio Chavez, who ran a punt back for a touchdown.

Grants' win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Aztec, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
