Baseball Recap: Putnam County Comes Up Short

Putnam County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 12-1 to the Eastside Eagles. The matchup marked the War Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Putnam County saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Branan Griffin, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Putnam County's record is now 2-6. As for Eastside, their victory bumped their record up to 4-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Putnam County will host Lake Oconee Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Eastside, they will be playing at home against Walnut Grove at 5:55 p.m. on Tuesday.
