Basketball Recap: Paulina Lucero's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Coachella Valley over Twentynine Palms

The Coachella Valley Mighty Arabs fell 53-42 to the Twentynine Palms Wildcats on Tuesday. The Mighty Arabs were down 47-25 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Coachella Valley's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Paulina Lucero, who posted ten points. Another player making a difference was Mariah Figueroa, who earned 15 points in addition to five boards and three blocks.

Coachella Valley's loss dropped their record down to 15-6. As for Twentynine Palms, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-3.

Coachella Valley has already played their next game, a 54-49 victory against Yucca Valley on the 30th. As for Twentynine Palms, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 59-25 win against Indio on the 30th.
