Softball Recap: Bloomingdale's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

Bloomingdale and Durant squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Bloomingdale had to settle for second. They fell 3-0 to the Cougars. The Bulls' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Natalie Cable spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on four hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 16 consecutive appearances.

Bloomingdale's loss dropped their record down to 16-7. As for Durant, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-8.

Bloomingdale does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Durant, they will square off against Bartow at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Cougars 3.7, the Yellow Jackets 3.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
