Basketball Recap: Roncalli Catholic Takes a Loss

Roncalli Catholic extended their losing streak to 16 on Tuesday, dropping them down to 1-20. They took a blow against the Bennington Badgers, falling 82-15. The Crimson Pride were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 62-11.

As for Bennington, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 23-0. They have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 20 matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Bennington found their leader in sophomore Macie Reiner, who shot 64% from the field en route to 20 points in addition to eight rebounds and six steals. Reiner is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 13 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Harper Bohaboj, who went 7-for-9 on her way to 16 points and six boards.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Roncalli Catholic will face off against Bishop Neumann at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bennington, they will square off against Duchesne at 6:30 p.m. on the 19th.
