Soccer Recap: Wellington Comes Up Short

Wellington lost against Open Door Christian back in September of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Dukes lost 6-1 to the Patriots. The match was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Wellington couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Andrew Raven, which was the first he's scored this season.

Wellington's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Open Door Christian, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-3-1 record.

Wellington has already played their next game, a 7-1 win against Clearview on the 24th. As for Open Door Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Crestview at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
