Softball Game Preview: East Jackson Eagles vs. Towns County Indians

The East Jackson Eagles will head out on the road to take on the Towns County Indians at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. East Jackson hasn't scored more than two runs for five games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

Hart County hit East Jackson with a four-run seventh inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Eagles lost 10-0 to the Bulldogs.

Meanwhile, Towns County came up short against Lincoln County on Thursday and fell 6-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Indians in their meetings with the Red Devils: they've now lost nine in a row.

East Jackson's loss dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Towns County, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-12.

East Jackson came out on top in a nail-biter against Towns County when the teams last played last Monday, sneaking past 10-9. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
