Basketball Game Preview: Reseda Regents vs. Community Charter Titans

The Reseda Regents will take on the Community Charter Titans at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Both are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Reseda is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They put the hurt on Panorama with a sharp 66-43 win on Wednesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Regents as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak.

Reseda had a senior duo take command as Zahra Numa posted 31 points and Olivia Rosales had 21 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Numa has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Marisela Rosales, who scored seven points.

Community Charter played in conference for the first time on Friday and they got just the result they we're looking for. They were the clear victor by a 34-8 margin over Valley Oaks CES. The Titans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 25 points or more this season.

With the win, Community Charter broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-7. As for Reseda, their victory ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-8.

Everything went Reseda's way against Community Charter in their previous meeting back in November of 2023, as Reseda made off with a 40-16 win. Will Reseda repeat their success, or does Community Charter have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
