Soccer Game Preview: Weston Ranch vs. Oakmont

The Weston Ranch Cougars will face off against the Oakmont Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

Weston Ranch is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They never let El Camino get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. Weston Ranch's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three contests.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Adriana Escobedo, who's now up to two this season.

Meanwhile, Oakmont earned a 2-0 victory over Union Mine on Friday. Given Oakmont's advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 222nd, while Union Mine are ranked 793rd) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The win got Weston Ranch back to even at 9-9-5. As for Oakmont, their victory bumped their record up to 15-2-1.
