Volleyball Recap: Andie Blomenkamp's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Millard North over Marian

Millard North lost against Marian back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Mustangs fell just short of the Crusaders by a score of 3-2. While the Mustangs didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Crusaders 25-13 in the first set.

Millard North took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 13-25, 25-15, 25-27, 25-21, 15-13.

Millard North lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Andie Blomenkamp, who had seven digs and two aces. She is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 13 or more in each of the last six games she's played. Another player making a difference was Hayden Sliva, who had 18 digs and three aces.

Millard North's loss dropped their record down to 18-16. As for Marian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 29-8 record this season.

As of now, neither Millard North nor Marian have any future games scheduled.
