Baseball Recap: Chamblee Wins Going Away Against Tri-Cities

Chamblee got themselves on the board against Tri-Cities on Friday, but Tri-Cities never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 17-0 margin over Tri-Cities. Chamblee hasn't had any issues with Tri-Cities recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Houston Buck looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has become a key player for Chamblee: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 3-9 otherwise.

At the plate, Andrew Sommer was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three runs, and one triple. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brady Solomon, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

Chamblee always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .720. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Chamblee's win bumped their record up to 5-10. As for Tri-Cities, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-9.

Chamblee will have a chance to go back-to-back against Tri-Cities: the pair will be back at it again later today.
