Preview: Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Culver City Centaurs
The Cleveland Cavaliers's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Culver City Centaurs at 6:30 p.m. on November 29th.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 75-34, which was the final score in Cleveland's tilt against St. Mary's Academy on Tuesday. Cleveland was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-11.
The losing side was boosted by Valerie Anzora, who scored 14 points along with 9 rebounds and 4 steals. Anzora is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabriella Calderon, who scored 6 points.
Meanwhile, Culver City's four-game losing streak came to an end on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Notre Dame Academy with a sharp 67-44 win. The victory was all the more spectacular given Culver City's disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 484th, while Notre Dame Academy is ranked 121st).
The losses dropped Cleveland to 1-2 and St. Mary's Academy to 4-2.
