Softball Recap: Dade County Now 16-2 over Last 18 Games

Dade County put their dominant pitchers on display in the team's fifth consecutive shutout on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 16-0 margin over the Coosa Eagles. Considering the Wolverines have won eight contests by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Dade County has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 18 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Coosa, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-17.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Dade County will challenge Chattooga at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Coosa, they will face off against Model at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
