Football Recap: Connor Martin and Aden Morris Lead the Defense for Republic County Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Ellsworth, Republic County was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They put the hurt on the Lyons Lions with a sharp 30-8 victory. For the Buffaloes, this counts as revenge for the 21-20 win the Lions walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Republic County didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Connor Martin and Aden Morris.

Republic County now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Lyons, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Republic County wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 50-0 victory against Bennington on the 26th. As for Lyons, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 50-3 loss against Ellsworth on the 26th.
