Baseball Recap: Morristown-Hamblen East Comes Up Short

The Morristown-Hamblen East Hurricanes lost 13-4 to the George Walton Academy Bulldogs on Friday. The Hurricanes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Morristown-Hamblen East saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isaac Greene, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double. Jordan Tipton was another, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Morristown-Hamblen East's defeat dropped their record down to 6-15-1. As for George Walton Academy, with the victory, they broke their ten-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-15.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Morristown-Hamblen East will welcome Boyd-Buchanan at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for George Walton Academy, they will challenge Cocke County at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
