Basketball Recap: Polytechnic Extends Winning Streak to Three

Polytechnic put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Hart Hawks by a score of 49-42. For the Panthers, this counts as revenge for the 69-30 win the Hawks walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2021.

Polytechnic got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Harper Doyle out in front who went 7-for-14 on her way to 15 points and seven rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Doyle a new career-high in blocks (two). Maggie Scholze was another key player, dropping a double-double with 14 points and ten boards.

Polytechnic smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in five consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Polytechnic's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Hart, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
