Basketball Recap: Columbia Montour Vo-Tech Takes a Loss

Columbia Montour Vo-Tech was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 33rd straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Neumann Regional Academy Golden Knights, falling 53-10. The Rams were not able to make up for their defeat to the Golden Knights from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

Neumann Regional Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Niyah Tutler, who went 10 of 14 on her way to 24 points and six boards. With that strong performance, Tutler is now averaging an impressive 15.4 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Breanna Nixon, who shot 4-for-7 from downtown and almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine steals.

Columbia Montour Vo-Tech's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Neumann Regional Academy, they pushed their record up to 7-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Columbia Montour Vo-Tech will challenge South Williamsport at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Neumann Regional Academy, they will square off against Bucktail at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
