Recap: Liberty Hurricanes vs. Louis E. Dieruff Huskies
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Parkland, the Liberty Hurricanes were happy to have found some success on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 54-29 margin over Louis E. Dieruff. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Liberty has posted since December 28, 2023.
Liberty's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Abby Thompson led the charge by scoring ten points. Emma Pukszyn was another key contributor, scoring six points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
The victory got Liberty back to even at 9-9. As for Louis E. Dieruff, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Liberty will take on Easton Area at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Easton Area presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Liberty in Pennsylvania (Easton Area is ranked 28th, while Liberty is ranked 197th). As for Louis E. Dieruff, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Nazareth Area at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
