Plainview's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They walked away with a 52-43 win over the Wausa Vikings. The victory continues a trend for the Pirates in their matchups with the Vikings: they've now won seven in a row.

Plainview found their leader in freshman Pressley Alexander, who shot 63% from the field to rack up 29 points and four steals. Riley Miller was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with nine points and 12 rebounds.

When it comes to explaining why Wausa lost, don't look at Taylor Dawson. Despite the final result, she posted 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Reagan Gillilan, who scored eight points in addition to nine boards and three steals.
