Soccer Recap: Rochelle Comes Up Short

Rochelle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was the LaSalle-Peru Cavaliers who were credited with the victory. The LaSalle-Peru Cavaliers got it done in the shootout by posting four goals to the Rochelle Hubs' two. While losing is never fun, Rochelle can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 292nd, while LaSalle-Peru are ranked 86th).

Rochelle's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9-1. As for LaSalle-Peru, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rochelle will take on Belvidere at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for LaSalle-Peru, they will welcome Kaneland at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
