Basketball Game Preview: Warrior Run Defenders vs. Danville Ironmen

Warrior Run is on an 11-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, Danville a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Monday. The Warrior Run Defenders will welcome the Danville Ironmen at 7:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Last Saturday, Warrior Run took a blow against Shikellamy, falling 68-11. While losing is never fun, the Defenders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 605th, while the Braves are ranked 162nd).

Meanwhile, Danville lost 62-36 to Selinsgrove on Tuesday.

Warrior Run's loss dropped their record down to 0-21. As for Danville, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-16.

Everything went Warrior Run's way against Danville in their previous meeting back in January of 2021, as Warrior Run made off with a 52-30 win. Will Warrior Run repeat their success, or does Danville have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
