Hozho Academy lost a heartbreaker the last time they played McCurdy, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Saturday's contest. The Wolves breezed past the Bobcats to the tune of 42-14 on Saturday. The Wolves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by 26 points or more this season.

Among those leading the charge was Brandon Bonaguidi, who rushed for 43 yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 78 yards and a pair of TDs on only six passes. Jakoby Spencer was Bonaguidi's top target, picking up 37 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Hozho Academy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 230 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 167 rushing yards in six consecutive games.

Hozho Academy didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Abraham Azua and Bonaguidi.

McCurdy's loss came despite strong showings from Julian Nino and JJ Vigil. Nino rushed for 151 yards while picking up 7.2 yards per carry, while Vigil rushed for 56 yards and two touchdowns. The Bobcats are 2-1 when Nino posts 100 or more rushing yards, but 2-5 otherwise.

Hozho Academy's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-2. Those road victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 7.3 points on average over those games. As for McCurdy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.
