Denison-Schleswig proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by three) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. Their defense stepped up to hand the North Polk Comets a 1-0 shutout. The win was nothing new for Denison-Schleswig as they're now sitting on nine straight.

Denison-Schleswig's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-4-5. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those seven games. As for North Polk, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-4-6.

Looking ahead, Denison-Schleswig will look to defend their home pitch on Thursday against Indianola. Indianola will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Denison-Schleswig surely won't give up without a fight. North Polk does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
