Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Ja'nyiah Rogers and Te'asia Briscoe Lead Purdue Polytechnic to Victory

Purdue Polytechnic hadn't done well against Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Techies managed a 60-55 win over the Braves. This was payback for the Techies, who suffered a 46-43 loss the last time these two teams met.

Leading Purdue Polytechnic to victory were Te'Asia Briscoe and Ja'Nyiah Rogers. Briscoe shot 40% from the field to rack up 17 points and three blocks, while Rogers posted 11 points and seven steals. That's the most steals Rogers has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Amelia Story, who had 11 points.

Purdue Polytechnic smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in seven consecutive games dating back to last season.

Purdue Polytechnic pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.4 points over those games. As for Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
