Baseball Game Preview: Becton Wildcats vs. Hackensack Comets

Becton hasn't had much luck against Hackensack recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Wildcats will welcome the Comets at 4:15 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Becton fell victim to Cresskill and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars.

Hackensack couldn't beat Paramus Catholic on Saturday even though they stacked four runs on them in the first inning. The Comets came up short against the Knght Paladins, falling 14-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Comets have suffered against the Knght Paladins since April 21, 2016.

Jason Bocio was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one run and one RBI.

Becton's loss dropped their record down to 13-11. As for Hackensack, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-15-1.

Becton suffered a grim 8-1 defeat to Hackensack when the teams last played back in May of 2025. Can the Wildcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
