Softball Recap: Jonesboro Takes a Loss

Monday just wasn't the day for Jonesboro's offense. They came up short against the Starr's Mill Panthers on Monday, falling 16-0. The Cardinals haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Jonesboro's defeat dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Starr's Mill, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-9 record this season.

Jonesboro will challenge Sandy Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cardinals' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Patriots have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season. Starr's Mill does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
