Basketball Game Preview: Foshay Wolverines vs. Orthopaedic Vipers

Foshay has gone a perfect 3-0 against Orthopaedic recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Wolverines will be playing at home against the Vipers at 3:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Foshay took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They breezed past Rise Kohyang to the tune of 35-5.

Foshay found their leader in sophomore Jasmine Jaregui, who dropped a double-double with 29 points and 12 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Ruhama H, who posted two points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Orthopaedic was able to grind out a solid win over East Valley on Monday, taking the game 26-14.

Foshay pushed their record up to 1-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 20.5 points on average over those games. As for Orthopaedic, the victory also got them back to even at 1-1.

Everything came up roses for Foshay against Orthopaedic in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as the squad secured a 46-12 win. Will the Wolverines repeat their success, or do the Vipers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
