Basketball Recap: Hamilton Falls Despite Big Games from Melissa Zamora and Milani Rodriguez

After soaring to 56 points the game before, Hamilton was a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They lost 45-23 to the Portola Tigers. The Braves haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Hamilton's loss came despite strong showings from Milani Rodriguez and Melissa Zamora. Rodriguez posted six points and six rebounds, while Zamora put up no points. The dominant performance gave Rodriguez a new career-high in boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Ally Odom, who had 11 points and five rebounds.

Hamilton's record now sits at 4-15. As for Portola, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 10-8.

Hamilton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 51-35 defeat against Quincy on the 28th. Portola has also already played their next contest (against Maxwell), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
