Softball Recap: Fossil Ridge Sets Scoring Season-High Against Greeley West

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fossil Ridge). They came out on top against the Greeley West Spartans by a score of 19-15 on Thursday. With that win, the SaberCats brought their scoring average up to 7.3 runs per game.

Briella Myers was incredible, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with five runs, two stolen bases, and one triple. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in August of 2024. Another player making a difference was Emerson Moe, who went 3-for-5 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Fossil Ridge always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .643. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Greeley West only posted an OBP of .463.

Fossil Ridge has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Greeley West, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.

Looking ahead, Fossil Ridge will square off against Lincoln Southwest at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Greeley West, they will venture away from home to take on Rocky Mountain at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
