Basketball Recap: Lanesville's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Lanesville had won two straight games and Hadley Crosier did her part to make it three on Saturday. The Lanesville Eagles enjoyed a cozy 65-46 victory over the Eastern Musketeers thanks in part to Crosier, who almost dropped a double-double on 32 points and nine rebounds. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 15.1 points per game.

The team also got some help courtesy of Madelyn Magner, who posted five points and eight boards. That's the most rebounds she has posted since back in November of 2024.

Several Musketeers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Avery Smith, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten boards. Smith continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Addison Smith, who scored 12 points and five assists.

Lanesville pushed their record up to 13-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.3 points per game. As for Eastern, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-9 record this season.

Lanesville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 51-41 victory against Orleans on the 21st. Eastern has also already played their next game, a 70-53 defeat against Scottsburg on the 23rd.
