Soccer Recap: Friday's Win Is Alta Loma's Seventh in Last Nine Outings

Alta Loma extended their postseason success on Friday against Quartz Hill. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Quartz Hill Royals 2-1. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Braves' disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 144th, while the Royals are ranked 49th).

Kayleena DeHorta and Maiya Castaneda scored both of Alta Loma's goals, bringing their combined season tally to three goals.

Alta Loma has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 27 goals over those nine contests. As for Quartz Hill, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-3.

As of now, neither Alta Loma nor Quartz Hill have any future games scheduled.
