With a playoff win on the line, Milton rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Pope Greyhounds, sneaking past 9-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Eagles have posted against the Greyhounds since March 7, 2016.

Milton's victory bumped their record up to 15-17. As for Pope, their loss ended a 24-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 29-4.

Pope wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 10-2 win against Seckinger on the 23rd. Hopefully Milton paid attention to the Greyhounds' game: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Greyhounds at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
