Football Recap: Draughn Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Draughn extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to six on Friday, dropping them down to 0-4. They were beaten by the R-S Central Hilltoppers 48-16. On the bright side, the 16- point performance marked the Wildcats' highest-scoring matchup to date.

Fore Putnam threw for 70 yards and one TD. Bryson Seagle was his top target, picking up 34 receiving yards. On the ground, Henry Cooper rushed for 40 yards and one touchdown.

R-S Central's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. They not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since September 6, 2024 (when they won 52-20).

A big part of R-S Central's win came down to the chemistry between Rylan Holley and his top target Jakis Smith. Holley threw for 160 yards and a pair of TDs on only 11 passes while Smith gained 189 total yards and two touchdowns. Smith got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 59 yards.
