Mission College Prep is 8-1 against Morro Bay since December of 2014 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Mission College Prep Royals will head out to square off against the Morro Bay Pirates at 6:30 p.m. Morro Bay took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Mission College Prep, who comes in off a win.

Last Tuesday, Mission College Prep earned a 48-40 victory over Santa Ynez. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Royals.

Meanwhile, Morro Bay didn't have quite enough to beat Nipomo on Saturday and fell 42-39. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Pirates have suffered against the Titans since January 31, 2018.

Mission College Prep has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season. As for Morro Bay, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 8-6.

Mission College Prep barely slipped by Morro Bay when the teams last played back in February of 2024, winning 54-53. Will Mission College Prep repeat their success, or does Morro Bay have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
