Gateway has been on a difficult stretch since their win on December 12. They lost 11-0 to the Piedmont Highlanders on Saturday. While losing is never fun, Gateway can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 804th, while Piedmont are ranked 257th).

Gateway's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6-1. As for Piedmont, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2-2 record this season.

Gateway will be playing in front of their home fans against Drew at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Gateway will be up against Drew's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.17 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Piedmont, they will challenge Castro Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
