Ottumwa got themselves on the board against Des Moines East on Tuesday, but Des Moines East never followed suit. They blew past the Scarlets 10-0. Considering the Bulldogs have won 14 matches by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games.
