Softball Recap: Union County Extends Home Winning Streak to Five

There's no place like home for Union County, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy a 15-0 shutout on Thursday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Panthers considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

Union County pushed their record up to 2-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.2 runs over those games. As for Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Union County will take on Grayson at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Barrow Arts and Sciences Academy, they will face off against Towns County at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
