Softball Recap: Springville Takes a Loss

Springville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 9-3 to the Alburnett Pirates. That's two games in a row now that the Orioles have lost by exactly six runs.

Springville's defeat dropped their record down to 12-12. As for Alburnett, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-7.

Looking ahead, Springville will square off against Marquette at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Alburnett, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-1 victory against Vinton-Shellsburg on the 24th.
