Softball Recap: Nowata Takes a Loss

After flying high against Oklahoma Union on Friday, Nowata came back down to earth. The Ironmen lost 12-2 to the Chelsea Dragons on Monday. The Ironmen have struggled against the Dragons recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.

Nowata's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Chelsea, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Nowata will venture away from home to face off against Caney Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Chelsea, they will face off against Fairland at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Owls' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Dragons' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
