Beatrice and Northwest squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Beatrice had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 4-3. The Orangemen's loss signaled the end of their 24-game winning streak.

Beatrice saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Layla Boyko, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Beatrice's defeat dropped their record down to 32-5. As for Northwest, the victory was the 28th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 30-2.

As of now, neither Beatrice nor the Vikings have any future games scheduled.
