South Gwinnett and Archer are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2017, but likely not for long. The South Gwinnett Comets will take on the Archer Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. South Gwinnett's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

South Gwinnett is likely headed into the matchup with a focus on the second half, which is when things went downhill against Norcross on Tuesday. South Gwinnett fell 3-1 to Norcross.

Meanwhile, Archer kept a clean sheet against Mill Creek on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Hawks 1-0. The Tigers wouldn't have won without Dimitri Telusmon, who scored the game-winner.

The victory made it two in a row for Archer and bumps their season record up to a perfect 2-0. As for South Gwinnett, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

South Gwinnett might still be hurting after the 4-1 defeat they got from Archer when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Can South Gwinnett avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
