Softball Recap: Humboldt's Win Ends Six-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Humboldt took a six-run defeat the last time they faced off against Newell-Fonda, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Wildcats skirted past the Mustangs 7-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Wildcats have posted since June 19th.

Humboldt's win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-13. As for Newell-Fonda, their loss dropped their record down to 21-12.

Coming up, Humboldt will take on Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS on Monday. Humboldt is facing Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS at the right time seeing as Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS is stuck on a four-game losing streak. Newell-Fonda does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
