Soccer Game Preview: Downey vs. Ripon + How To Watch

The Downey Knights will face off against the Ripon Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Downey's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out Bradshaw Christian 1-0. While Downey didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-12-2), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Ripon's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They lost 5-0 to Gregori.

The victory made it two in a row for Downey and bumps their season record up to 4-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those two matches. As for Ripon, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3.
