Baseball Game Preview: Howard Huskies vs. Jones County Greyhounds

Howard is 0-3 against Jones County since February of 2015 but things could change on Monday. The two teams will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 6:00 p.m. Jones County took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Howard, who comes in off a win.

Howard is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They came out on top against Baldwin by a score of 15-11 on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Huskies.

Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for Jones County's offense. They lost 10-0 to Seckinger last Saturday. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Greyhounds, who until this game were averaging four runs allowed.

Jones County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Noah Robinson, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Having lost for the first time this season, Jones County fell to 3-1. As for Howard, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.

Howard suffered a grim 16-0 defeat to Jones County in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Can Howard avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
