Softball Recap: NEN Takes a Loss

Saturday just wasn't the day for NEN's offense. They lost 10-0 to the Northwest Vikings on Saturday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to NEN of the 8-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2022.

NEN has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-7 record this season. As for Northwest, the victory (which was their 12th in a row) raised their record to 14-2.

Looking ahead, NEN will be playing in front of their home fans against Arlington at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last five games the Eagles have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Northwest, they have already played their next game, a 5-4 win against Waverly on the 20th.
