Recap: Oakwood Owls vs. Pilibos Eagles
Make it ten blowout wins for the Oakwood Owls this season. They took their contest on the road on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 54-25 win over Pilibos. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 37-17.
Despite the loss, Pilibos still got an impressive performance from Nanar Shahinian, who scored 14 points.
Pilibos struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Oakwood's victory bumped their record up to 14-5. As for Pilibos, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-12.
Oakwood will be playing in front of their home fans against Milken at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Milken will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 486th, while Oakwood is ranked 218th). Pilibos won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Faith Baptist at 1:30 p.m. on January 17th. Faith Baptist will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
