Softball Recap: Make It Two in a Row for Central Springs

Central Springs won against Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont on Saturday with four runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Panthers beat the St. Ansgar Saints by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 4-3. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 5-3 on June 2nd.

The win made it two in a row for Central Springs and bumps their season record up to 11-12. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch. As for St. Ansgar, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-17.

Coincidentally, Central Springs and St. Ansgar will both be playing Northwood-Kensett the next time they take the field. The Panthers will host the Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Saints will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
