Volleyball Recap: Wasilla Comes Up Short in High-Profile Match with Eagle River

Wasilla faced Eagle River in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Warriors fell 2-0 to the Wolves. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Ki Schachle paced Wasilla's offense, picking up six kills. Schachle got some help from Brystal Shelton and her 11 assists.

Wasilla's loss dropped their record down to 8-8-1. As for Eagle River, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 16 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-7 record this season.

Wasilla has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Lathrop on the 27th. As for Eagle River, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 1-1 tie against Service on the 26th.
