Soccer Game Preview: Cook vs. Tattnall County

The Cook Hornets will face off against the Tattnall County Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Cook made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Bacon County, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Cook's defense stepped up to hand Bacon County a 4-0 shutout on Tuesday. That four goal margin sets a new team best for the Hornets this season.

They hit Bacon County with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Alan Garcia (2), Fernando Fernandez, and Connor Medley.

Meanwhile, Tattnall County had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.5 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 1-0 W against the Indians. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

Cook's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-6. As for Tattnall County, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
