Basketball Recap: Matalie Floyd's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Kimball over Tracy

Kimball was the 38-36 winner over Tracy when they last played one another on January 7th, but their luck changed this time around. The Kimball Jaguars took a 43-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tracy Bulldogs on Thursday.

Several Jaguars players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Matalie Floyd, who posted four points in addition to 15 boards and eight blocks. Floyd has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Emaan Khaliqik, who scored five points and 11 rebounds.

Kimball's defeat dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Tracy, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-9.

Kimball will face off against Lincoln at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tracy, they will challenge Mt. Eden at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
